That'll Be The Day

October 2025

For the 40th Anniversary Tour of That’ll Be The Day, our team spent three days at the theatre in Stevenage learning the show and filming both the Friday and Saturday performances.

To ensure we captured every moment, we deployed a nine-camera setup across the venue.

Each camera was ISO-recorded to provide maximum flexibility in post-production, ensuring the strongest possible final mix. We also captured the live cut on the night, along with a full backup recording.

Our OB production crew consisted of four camera operators, one video engineer, and one director/vision mixer — a small but highly efficient team who worked tirelessly to deliver a seamless production.

All footage is now in post-production with our client, Prestige Productions, who will edit and distribute the final film so audiences can relive the magic of the show from home.

Services we provided -

  • Two operated cameras on dollies sharing a pit track

  • One operated front-of-house camera

Live In Somerset

2018 - present

This annual three-day event takes place over a weekend in July and sees some big acts take to the stage in Taunton Somerset.

We have provided the camera mix for the LED screens at this event for the past five years from 2018 to 2024. The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 like many others due to covid19.

In 2019 both Madness and Tom Jones brought their own LED screens to hang at the back of the stage to show visuals during their sets. These visuals really make the shows stand out and they came across great on our cameras. We even provided the Madness production team with a feed from our cameras so that they could mix our live footage into the visuals.

A Chorus Line

Performed by The Portsmouth Grammar School in Dec 2020

In December 2020 we produced a nine camera Livestream of the Portsmouth Grammar School's annual musical A Chorus Line.

This was during England's second national lockdown due to covid19. Luckily schools were allowed to remain open, which allowed the show to continue without a live audience and with all crew social distancing in effect.

The show was privately streamed on the school youtube channel and had a viewership of over 4000, which is the largest audience of any show the school has performed.

To create a  show with a more intimate feel we had an on-stage roaming camera which was wireless and mounted on a stabiliser. This allowed us to get some amazing close up shots of the cast, and with the skillful cutting of our director the audience was unaware that there was a crew member going on and off stage.

Services we provided -

  • Three cameras on tripods

  • One Jib camera

  • One track and dolly camera

  • One wireless stabilised roaming camera

  • One mini camera

  • One fixed camera character shot.

  • Flyaway mixer rack

  • Livestreaming to Youtube

  • Main mix recording and three ISO recordings

  • One Director/vision mixer

  • One Camera OP

  • Five Student camera OPs were provided by the school

"When we decided to livestream our show we didn't expect the quality to be quite this high. The calmness with which the whole operation ran made the stream a joy, with any issues arising being solved at lightning speed. I would highly recommend pure broadcast and will definitely use them again on any future livestreams"

James Gulliford - Director of the show

The Staff Canteen Awards 2021 - 2024

From 2021 to 2024, we provided the live camera mix for The Staff Canteen Awards. Our feed was displayed on two large LED screens, ensuring the audience had a clear view of everything happening on stage. In addition, we managed client-provided slides and videos, seamlessly integrating them with the live footage.

We also handled the event’s live stream on Facebook, allowing a remote audience to experience the ceremony in real time. However, due to limited online viewership, the client decided not to continue the live stream for the 2025 event

  • Flyaway mixer rack
